Radiation oncology is a ubiquitous feature of oncology. It is one of the three primary specialities involved in the treatment of cancer. The other two are surgical and medical oncology. In this process, high energy x-rays or electrons are used to kill cancerous cells and tissues.
Our Radiation Oncology Department is well-equipped with state-of-the-art technology which compares with the best in the world. Our optimized treatment protocols conform to international standards and are formulated keeping in mind the diagnosis.
In close coordination with the imaging team the radiation oncologists target the disease using Intensity-modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) , Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Volumetric Arc Therapy (VMAT) and Stereotactic RT.
